On Sunday, April 20th the Executive Board made a motion to offer a by-law change. The change would be language drafted up by President Mike Lowery and Senior Vice President Mike Scott to have all arbitration cases to be voted on the entire membership of Local 1395. Plus if approved by the membership to move a grievance forward to arbitration the entire membership would be assessed for the case. Lowery, Scott, and the E-Board feel this important to keep arbitration costs down. Language will be presented to the E-Board in May and if approved, it will be presented to the membership/body for a first reading in May. A second reading will also be presented to the membership in June and following the 2nd reading the membership will vote to either accept the by-law change or the reject it.
