ATU Local 1395 & Durham School Services meeting for 1st time On May 20th at 2:00pm at the IBEW Hall in Pensacola corner of Olive Road and Old Palafox Street. Meeting will consist of Union officers and Durham representatives. Look for details of the meeting on this web site.

BCC officials and ATU agree to meet over important issues

BCC County Labor Attorney and ATU Local 1395 International Vice President agree to meet to discuss important pending topics! On May 20th at 9:30 am the County and ATU will meet to discuss pending issues. Topics to be discussed: 1. Wage situation (pending wage increase for fiscal year 07-08) a. Unfair Labor Charged filed by Union - hearing scheduled on June 5th b. Impasse filed by BCC - no date scheduled c. "Stay of Impasse" filed by ATU 2. Retirement Buyout a. Officially this is the 2nd meeting - 1st meeting ended without discussion or actual presentation of program to Union. 3. Clerk of Courts payroll change a. Union opposes employees losing 80 hours of pay b. BCC to present change

Wilson Robertson first to seek ATU Local 1395 endorsement

SCREENING COMMITTEE UPDATE: Wilson Robertson, candidate for Escambia County Commission, District 1 was the first candidate to respond to Local 1395's screening committee. Robertson is running against incumbent and Chairman of the Commission Mike Whitehead. Robertson also is a former County Commissioner serving as Commissioner of District 5.
